British Values

At The Queen Anne Royal Free, British Values are not taught in isolation but lived daily through how children speak, listen, learn and grow together. Rooted in our Christian ethos, they are brought to life through the Fruit of the Spirit, shaping both character and culture.

Pupils learn that every voice matters, developing an understanding of democracy through discussion, collaboration and shared decision-making. They come to see that rules create a safe and respectful environment, building their understanding of the rule of law alongside growing self-control and responsibility.

Children are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, experiencing individual liberty within a nurturing setting that builds confidence and independence. Relationships are central to school life, with mutual respect modelled and expected in all interactions.

Our diverse community fosters appreciation of different faiths, cultures and beliefs, nurturing understanding, empathy and belonging. Together, British Values and the fruit of the Spirit shape pupils who are thoughtful, respectful and compassionate, ready to contribute positively to the world around them.
