At The Queen Anne Royal Free, we are committed to providing excellence and opportunity for every child, regardless of ability or individual need. We maintain high expectations for all pupils and believe that every child should be supported to achieve their very best.

We work to remove barriers to learning and participation so that all children feel fully included, valued and able to succeed as part of our school community.

Through high-quality, carefully considered provision, we recognise that children:

  • have different educational needs, strengths and aspirations
  • benefit from a range of approaches to learning
  • develop understanding and skills at different rates
  • respond best to varied teaching styles and experiences

Our approach is inclusive, flexible and responsive, ensuring that every child is supported appropriately and enabled to thrive.

Our SENCO

Mrs Collin, our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), works closely with pupils, families, teaching staff and external professionals to ensure that support is carefully tailored to individual needs and reviewed regularly.

Families are encouraged to speak with Mrs Collin at any time if they have questions or concerns about their child’s learning or development. All conversations are welcomed and treated with care and confidentiality.

Working in Partnership

We believe that the most effective support comes through a strong partnership between home and school. Where a child has additional needs or a disability, we work closely with parents and carers to ensure a clear, coordinated and supportive approach.

Further details about the support available can be found in our Local Offer, which outlines how we identify needs, put support in place and ensure every child is able to thrive within our inclusive school community.
