- Vomiting (children should remain at home for a minimum of 48 hours after the last episode)
- Norovirus (children should remain at home for a minimum of 48 hours after the last episode)
- Certain infectious illnesses or rashes, including chickenpox, measles, or hand, foot and mouth disease

Vaccinations
Please ensure that your child’s vaccinations are kept up to date. If your child requires an MMR vaccination, you can arrange this through your GP, regardless of your child’s age.

Reporting an Absence
Please notify the School as soon as possible on the first day of your child’s illness by either telephoning 01753 830885 or emailing office@queenannefirstschool.org.uk. Please include your child’s name, year group, and a brief description of their illness.
There is no need to contact the school each day of your child’s absence. However, if your child remains unwell and their absence is expected to continue into the following week, we kindly ask that you contact the school on the Monday morning with an update.
Please also ensure that the school is notified if your child is absent on the final day of term, unless the reason for the absence has already been communicated.
If we do not receive the appropriate notification, the school may need to arrange a welfare home visit to ensure that both you and your child are receiving the support required and that your child’s safety and wellbeing are being maintained.
