Our Vision
In our Christian community, and with the Fruit of the Spirit in our hearts, we all Enjoy, Include and Achieve.
At The Queen Anne Royal Free, our vision is captured in three simple words:
Enjoy. Include. Achieve.
We believe exceptional education flourishes in an environment of high expectations, intellectual curiosity and genuine belonging. Pupils are encouraged to embrace opportunity, take pride in their achievements and develop the confidence to question, investigate and debate.
Our Values
Everything we do is guided by three core principles:

Safe – responsible, thoughtful and self-aware
These values shape our culture, underpin our relationships and are evident throughout daily school life.
Our Christian Foundation
We have strong links with the wider Christian community through our foundation within the Oxford Diocese and our close partnership with All Saints Church, Windsor. Reverend Sally Lodge is one of our school governors and plays an important role in supporting the life of the school. Throughout the year, we hold termly services at the church, including celebrations for Harvest, Christmas, Easter, and our Leavers' Service. In addition, members of the church congregation regularly support collective worship in school through the weekly Open the Book programme, helping to bring Bible stories and Christian values to life for our pupils.

Fruit of the Spirit
The fruit of the Spirit form the golden thread that runs throughout our school community and underpins our Christian vision and values. Each week, we focus on a different fruit of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, kindness, or self-control. This value is explored and celebrated through collective worship, classroom learning, and daily interactions across the school. By embedding these values in all aspects of school life, we encourage our children to develop strong character, positive relationships, and a deep sense of respect and responsibility towards others.

Do children need to be religious to attend?
No. We welcome families of all faiths and world views. All children are equally included and valued.
Is Christianity taught in school?
Yes. Children learn about Christianity as part of Religious Education and through our school values, alongside learning about other faiths.
Do you include other faiths and beliefs?
Yes. We teach respect and understanding of a range of faiths and world views, promoting understanding and mutual respect.
Is collective worship part of school life?
Yes. We have daily collective worship which reflects our Church of England foundation, but it is inclusive and respectful of all backgrounds.
Do parents need to attend church?
No. Families are not required to attend church. All are welcome regardless of religious background and world views.
Who oversees the school’s Church ethos?
The school’s Christian character is supported by the Oxford Diocese and All Saints Church, Windsor, working alongside the school leadership and governors.
Belonging
Belonging is at the heart of everything we do. From the moment children, families and staff join us, they become part of The Queen Anne family: a small school community where every child is known, valued and supported.
We are proud to be part of the Royal Free Foundation Schools, a heritage dating back to 1705. This history is still alive in our daily life, including our tradition of giving every child a special book when they join us in Reception , and a Bible when they leave in Year 4. It is a tradition that connects generations of The Queen Anne children.
Houses and Identity
Our house system – Owls, Dolphins, Foxes, Polar Bears and Tigers – gives children a strong sense of identity and teamwork. House points are earned through a wide range of achievements that reflect the whole child: showing the fruit of the Spirit each week, living our values of being ready, respectful and safe, and demonstrating teamwork, effort. This includes contributions to lessons, play and through events such as Sports Day, where houses come together in friendly competition and shared pride. As we look to refresh our houses, our commitment remains the same: every child belongs to a team where they are supported, celebrated and encouraged to thrive.
Traditions That Unite Us
Our traditions bring us together across the year. We gather at All Saints Church for Harvest, Christmas, Easter and our Leavers’ Service, sharing special moments as a community.
We also come together around the school flagpole for key moments of national and school significance, including Remembrance, coronations, and to mark the end of the school year. They are times for reflection, respect and shared pride in belonging to something bigger than ourselves.
Our school song, written by the children and set to Auld Lang Syne, and our school prayer both reflect the values we share and the pride we feel in our school.
Leaders & Ambassadors
All children are given meaningful opportunities to develop as leaders and ambassadors, including the opportunity to become Year 4 Pupil Worship Leaders. We encourage our children to take responsibility, play an active part in school life and represent The Queen Anne with pride. Whether supporting their peers, helping to care for our school environment, or acting as ambassadors within our wider partnerships, including our link with Soho Parish Primary, children learn what it means to lead with kindness, confidence and integrity.
A Wider Community
As a Church of England school, we are part of a wider family of schools, with termly shared worship through our link with Soho Parish Primary.
At The Queen Anne, belonging is not just something we talk about, it is something children feel every day through relationships, traditions and pride in being part of our school.
