Governors know the school well. They are clear about how well individuals and many groups of pupils are doing. They offer useful challenge and support for you and other leaders. Governors recognise and appreciate the opportunities the school provides to develop the whole child, not just to meet pupils’ academic needs.

The Queen Anne Ofsted Report 2016

Welcome to the Governors of The Queen Anne Royal Free CE Controlled First School in Windsor.

The Queen Anne forms part of the Royal Free Foundation which originated in 1705 to bring education to the children of Windsor.

We are a Church of England Controlled School who liaise with both the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Children’s Services and the Oxford Diocese Board of Education.

The Governors represent the Foundation and are drawn from the local authority, the diocese, the Royal Free Foundation, parents and the community, together with members of the school staff.  There are at present 9 members of the Governing Body.

Our aim is to be approachable and willing to listen and to remember that our vision is Everyone A Learner, to Achieve, Enjoy and Include.

We do hope that you enjoy your time with us at The Queen Anne Royal Free C.E. First School.
