Jolly Good Afternoon Tea

The Queen Anne Royal Free CE First School was delighted to host their Jolly Good Afternoon Tea on Saturday 13th July 2019 for parents and children.

Through the generosity of a number of businesses, the school raised money to fund new Science and Technology resources for the school.

The Queen Anne would like to thank a whole host of local businesses who generously gave their time and support for the school.

Guests enjoyed an incredible afternoon tea by The Hind’s Head (Fat Duck Group) in Bray with a complimentary gin and a gin bar, courtesy of The Queen Charlotte Pub, Windsor.  Windsor and Eton Brewery were on hand to keep the beer flowing too.

The children enjoyed their own bespoke afternoon tea and film session.

The event was held in a marquee thank to support from Comm Comm UK and Tops Marquees, Buds and Bloom and Windsor Linen Company.

The whole event was accompanied by The Jolly Good String Trio, and artist Russell Walker, who donated his time to draw people’s shoes as a memento of the event. The Queen Anne staff  members were on hand to ensure that a jolly good time was had by all.

An amazing raffle added to the excitement of the day with prizes donated by The  Hinds Head, Russell Walker, The Queen Charlotte Pub, Windsor, Windsor &Eton Brewery, Cowarth Park, Sean Bowers Personal Training, Meimo, Roald Dahl Museum and  Aartwork Hairdressers.

Judith Street, Head Teacher, says ‘’ I am overwhelmed by the generosity and support of so many people. The event brought together our school community, local business and support from further afield. The feedback from the guests has been incredibly positive. Not only did everyone have a wonderful afternoon, but they raised significant funds which will allow us to enhance our science and technology provision in school. I would like to thank everyone involved. ‘

Otto Romer, The Fat Duck Group Head of Development “It is always great to help the young wondering minds to develop and question everything from the beginning. Anything we can do to assist in their development is always a pleasure.”
